I"m up and just about ready to jump on the bike for a while....
The bank where I work goes all out for Halloween -- they have a theme every year and decorate and dress up (not me - I work downstairs where no one sees me).....they also have a big carryin lunch.
I baked two loaves of my favorite pumpkin bread -- taking one to work and the other down to my sister.....my BIL is dying of a rare form of lymphoma....they got the bad news yesterday - no more chemo -- doc says days to a few weeks. She's holding up and her family is near, one daughter is coming this weekend from Texas.
Feeling better about my foot issue.....waiting to hear from the orthopedic surgeon.
We are supposed to get heavy rain today, but right now it is quiet.
My neighbor guy and I got the big bunch of leaves in my side yard blown to the curb yesterday afternoon, yah!
Better get on that bike now -- have a good Friday.

Morning George and my OFFer's
Rain. More rain. My feet are webbed, my butt has moss growing on it and last night, I swear I felt gills growing in my sides! We got another 6+ inches yesterday and last night, bringing us to over 80 inches of the wet stuff for the year. A friend is taking reservations for seats on an ark that her husband is going to build this weekend.
I'm not buying/giving candy this year for Halloween. Gary has to work tomorrow night, and I just don't feel good about opening the door (even to kids) when I'm alone. Besides, it's a good excuse to not have any candy in the house. Candy I don't need to be tempted by.
George, hope you and Mary enjoy your evening out tomorrow. It sounds like a lot of fun!

My back yard has so much standing water, if I layed a camera down close to the ground, it would look like a scene from the Everglades.
We never give out candy at the house. We live in a cul de sac and not many people come down there as it is, but we always leave the porch light off.
But, this year we are working the Fall Festival for the first time. Should be interesting, if not fun.

Good Morning!!
Kind of a gray morning here but I think it's still supposed to hit 88 or 89 this afternoon. Very weird for me to be walking around in sleeveless tops and it will be Nov in 2 days. Normally I'm all bundled up and raking leaves back in NY. Not complaining....I like the sunshine.
No bike ride for me this morning
......I have to go to the lab for routine blood work (I like to check my cholesterol and triglycerides every few months). Then I'm off to a Weigh****chers meeting. I joined a couple weeks ago hoping to learn their maintenance plan. I'm hungry and can't eat until after I weigh in.....that will be about 2 hrs from now.
I'm going to be baking all afternoon. I'm going to "test" a recipe I concocted for a pumpkin ball (cookie). If they taste ok I'll share. I normally make them with carrots, which are fabulous, but think I do it with pumpkin.
I'm missing my family even more than usual.....especially my parents and my grand-niece. Whenever I think of them I tear up. I had wanted to get back to see everyone next week but since that's not happening it looks like I won't be able to do it until next year and that's making me sad. I've got to work on this again and see if I get back even for just a weekend. Oh well.....

I am heading up north on Saturday of next week. I am driving to Chicago to see my daughter for a few days before the snow settles in and I cant get there........But if I get a job Ill scrap the trip for another time.
It is a beautiful day here. Not a cloud in the sky and it is about 85. Man it pays to live on the Gulf Coast!!!!!
